Q: What do I need to bring with me to class?

A: Your textbook, highlighter, pen/pencil, calculator, notebook, tablet, or laptop for note taking purposes. RECORDING DEVICES OF ANY KIND WILL NOT BE PERMITTED AT ANY TIME.

Q: What is the dress code for classes?

A: The dress code is business casual. No tank tops or short shorts. Jeans are permitted assuming they are paired with appropriate attire.

Q: What is your refund/cancellation policy?

A: There is no refund for online classes, books, study aids, exam prep, or school paraphernalia. There will be no refund given for live classes after the class has started. Students may cancel a class prior to the start of class and receive a refund minus a cancellation fee of $75.00. If books or supplemental materials were received by student and course is cancelled this material must be received in new condition to receive full credit. If the material is not received in new condition the cost of these materials will also be deducted from the course price in addition to the cancellation fee prior to a refund being issued. Students who do not show up for a scheduled class without giving 24 hours prior notice relinquish their right to a refund. The student will have a class credit placed on their file for a period of one year from the date payment was received to use for a future class.

Q: Can I bring my cell phone to class?

A: You may bring your cell phone to class but it must be placed on silent during instructional time. If you need to take a call please leave the room in an effort not to disturb other students. If more than 10 minutes is missed due to a phone call, the student understands it is their responsibility to make up said time to receive credit for it at the instructors discretion.

Q: What is your privacy policy?

A: Your privacy is very important to us. All of the information you provide to us is strictly confidential. Your personal information is not shared, traded, rented or sold to anyone at anytime other than as required by the Florida Real Estate Commission or a court of law. Your personal information is stored in an encrypted database and will only be used to communicate with you regarding your educational status. You may at any time OPT OUT of communication with Real Estate Academy of Learning, Inc. by simply replying with the word REMOVE in the subject field and we will cease all communication thereafter.

Q: Can I transfer from an online class to a live class?

A: A student may transfer from an online class to a live class if space permits. There is a $50 transfer fee and the student must pay the difference between the two classes.

Q: What is your Hurricane/Storm Policy?

A: Hurricanes/Inclement weather will be closely monitored. In the event of an emergency situation, staff will make and inform students and the public of it’s decision to cancel or postpone classes. In the event this becomes necessary, we will make every effort to reschedule or make up the missed class accordingly.

Q: What happens if I miss time from my class?

A: Each course has a minimum number of state mandated attendance hours. Once that amount has been reached a student is required to make up said time covering the same chapters missed to receive credit for this time.

Smoking Policy: Real Estate Academy of Learning is a non-smoking facility. There are designated smoking areas outside of the building.

Weapons Policy: NO Weapons of any kind are permitted on our premises at any time. Any student found to be in violation of this policy will be dismissed from the program with no refund given. Certified Law Enforcement Officers may be exempt from this policy when conditions or circumstances merit an exception.

Personal Check Policy: We do not accept personal checks of any kind.

Disruptive Students: Instructors are authorized to dismiss students from class who they deem to be disruptive to the class and other students. No refund will be given.

Food And Beverages: Light snacks and covered drinks are allowed in the class as long as students do not disrupt the class or refuse to clean up after themselves. At the instructor’s discretion, this privilege can be revoked when deemed necessary.
